Welcome to MESACC
Turkey’s relations with the Middle East has beeing increasing in political, economic, cultural and social aspects. The Eskişehir Osmangazi University acknowledged the necessity of studying and promoting Turkish-Arab relations in academic and cultural areas, as well. For this purpose, the Middle Eastern Studies and Cooperation Center was established in July 2011. It holds an interdisciplinary perspective and formation while the International Relations Department constitutes the backbone of the Center. The MESACC is also the main partner of the Arab-Turkish Congress of Social Sciences (ATCOSS). By supporting research and cooperation in the Middle East, the MESACC aims to promote better understanding between Turkey and the Middle Eastern societies by producing objective knowledge, to increase cooperation among Turkey’s neighbors, to promote cooperation in the Middle East, to help policy makers and the public with independent research and analyses, to help other bodies and institutions to build cooperation between Turkey and the Middle Eastern countries.
